Hi, friends!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  If you stopped by on Friday, I shared all about the “Love Actually” party I was going to this past weekend (read more here)!  It was such a good time! Our favorite things gift exchange was SO fun!  It turned out to be a really great idea, and we will definitely be doing it again the future!  If you’re looking for a gift exchange activity to do with some of your friends, and you want to do something different than the white elephant, check out this idea!  You can definitely adapt it and make it work for whatever group you’re doing it with, or you can change the dollar amount, too!  Overall, the get together was such a great time! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyone ever just feel like breaking the rules?  This girl does!  Now, before you get all concerned, I’m talking fashion rules here! [I am definitely not a rule breaker in real life].  Some people majorly frown about wearing white after Labor Day or mixing brown and black together.  Those are two fashion rules that I refuse to follow.  You can see me wearing white ALL year round (I talked about it in this post).  And I mix brown and black together on the regular.

The color combo in today’s post may make some people cringe if they’re used to following all of those fashion rules.  If you’re one of those people, I apologize, but maybe I can change your mind!  ๐Ÿ™‚ The shades of gray I’m wearing definitely fall into the “black” category.  And the rust/cognac color of my scarf  (similar here) and booties definitely fall into the “brown” category.  I absolutely love these colors combined together.  So, technically speaking, here I am breaking another fashion rule.  But, what’s life if you aren’t breaking rules, right?!  The key to making this look work is the clutch.  It helps bring it all back together because it has all of the colors in it.  I think without the clutch, the outfit may not flow together as well as what I think it does!  So, when breaking your own fashion rules make sure to accessorize to bring it all back together!

What fashion rules do you like to break? ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by! It means so much to me!  Have a great week!
