Hello, everyone! How has your week been going? I am about to be stuck in the middle of a whirlwind few weeks at school! I’m really trying to prepare myself in advance and get done what I can ahead of time. Is it summer yet? ha! On a more positive note, it has FINALLY started to really feel like fall here! Like, I’ve actually been able to wear sweaters and scarves on a daily basis. I’ve even had to grab for a light jacket a few days! Say what?!? Really though, coming from Ohio, by the time it hits November it’s normally getting pretty cold. We even got snow one year the first week in November. I don’t think there’s any snow forecasted here in the near future! Which I am so thankful for! I’ll take this weather all year round! 🙂
Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite scarves (that I’ve finally been able to wear)! And it’s UNDER $10! I don’t know if I’ve ever shared this, but purple is my favorite color. I don’t necessarily wear a lot of purple, but it’s normally my go to color for most everything else (and pink sometimes, too!). This blanket scarf combines so many pretty colors with my favorite color, which easily makes it one of my go-to scarves! I liked the idea of pairing it with my favorite olive skinnies to bring out the blueish-green color in the scarf! You could totally wear this with a green cardigan, a yellow top, a purple sweater, a blue sweater, etc. You get the gist! There’s endless possibilities when a scarf has this many colors in it!
When wearing scarves this time year, it can be difficult to decide what other colors to pair it with. Yes, you can almost always pair it with a neutral color and it will look fine. However, sometimes it’s fun to pair it with more of an unexpected color! To figure out what color would look good with your scarf, first look at the colors in the scarf. Sometimes you can wear something that has the same main color as the scarf. Like in the scarf I’m wearing in this post, I see more purple than anything else. I could totally wear a purple sweater or cardigan with this! However, I like pairing contrasting colors together sometimes, too! In these cases, I like to look at the more minor colors in a scarf to see what would look best with it! In this scarf, there is just a hint of green, which is why I chose to pair it with olive-colored skinnies! Just play around with it, and don’t be afraid to mix it up and have fun! A scarf is just another accessory for your outfit!
Thanks so much for stopped by! Enjoy the rest of your week
