Hello, friends! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We had such a fun time Friday night with some friends. We did stay up a little too late, though! I am definitely not used to that anymore, so I was struggling a bit on Saturday. I got my hair fixed up on Saturday by the lovely Ali at Flair Hair Studio! If you’re looking for a great hair stylist in Raleigh, let me know and I can definitely set you up! I spent Sunday shopping around at the mall, stocking up on some yummy fall candles! I had such a hard time choosing which ones I wanted! I normally love them all! I ended up grabbing Sweater Weather, Leaves, Marshmallow Fireside, and Pumpkin French Toast! Can’t wait to use them all fall! I really wanted to put up my fall decorations this past weekend, but I decided to hold off considering it is still 90 plus degrees outside everyday. It doesn’t quite feel like fall here yet!
Another trend for fall that I am all about is wearing white. I know the old saying about not wearing white after Labor Day, but I can’t really get myself to follow it. Just like I always break the rule of wearing brown and black together – this is actually one of my favorite combos! However, when you are wearing white after Labor Day, I think there are a few guidelines you need to follow.
- Balance it out. If you wear too much white, then your look will appear out of season. I think it’s important to balance out the rest of the look with other warm colors that keep it looking like an outfit that should be worn in fall. I am all about green, orange, and burgundy right now. All of those colors would go great with a pair of white jeans!
- Add in other fall staples. If I decided to wear a pair of white jeans right now with a white off shoulder top (like I did in this post!), I would look totally out of place, considering it is September. If you’re choosing to wear white, especially white jeans, it’s important to mix in other fall staples such as booties, cardigan, and scarves. A good combination of these times will keep your outfit looking in season!
There are definitely some white items that are ideal all year round. Some of those include white sneakers, white sweaters, and white denim (in my opinion). I especially think white sweaters look super chic around the holidays! Basically, don’t be afraid to break some of those silly fashion rules! If you’re confident in what you’re wearing, then you will rock it and look amazing! Cheers to wearing white all year round!
Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great week!
